Nattuvangangam: Guru Smt. Indrani Parthasarathy

 

Smt. Indrani Parthasarathy is the daughter-disciple of Karnataka Kala Thilaka Guru Smt.Radha Sridhar of Bangalore, India. She is also a student of Guru Muththiah Pillai in the Pandanallur style of Bharathanatyam and Guru M. R Krishnamurthy in the Kalakshetra style of Bharathanatyam. She has also trained in the Kuchipudi style of dancing and is well versed in Carnatic classical music. She obtained first rank in the proficiency dance diploma exam in the state of Karnataka and is a graded artist of the Dooradarshan. She has played major roles in many of her mother's dance drama productions and has more than 100 solo performances to her credit. She has performed extensively in India, UAE, and USA.. She has been imparting training to young aspirants for more than thirty years She is the Artistic director of Abhinaya School of Performing Arts, Houston, TX where she trains students at all levels primarily in Bharathanayam and and also in Kuchipudi.

Vocalist:  Mangalam Krishnamurthy

Mangalam Krishnan is a “B-high” Graded AIR vocalist since 1990.  Her revered Gurus are Sangeetha Acharya Late Madirimangalam Sri Ramachandran, Smt. Seetha Sunderrajan in Delhi, Sangeetha Acharya Smt Neela Ramgopal, Bangalore, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padmabhushan Madurai Sri T. N. Seshagopalan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Late Dr. S. Ramanathan. 
She has been regularly performing in Chennai December Music festivals since 2006 and has also performed in almost all leading Sabhas of Mumbai, NCPA, Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha, The Chembur Fine Arts, The Kalamandal, The Bhandup Fine Arts, etc.  
She has many thematic programs to her credit of various Vaaggeyakaras in Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha – Sri Subramanya Bharathi (2012  & 2000),  Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar (2011), Sri Purandaradasa (1999), & Sri Shyama Sastri, Sri Thyagaraja compositions concerts for Naadanjali.  Her One Deity – concert based on compositions of Rama in Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai was reviewed in one of the musical web-sites of repute.
Apart from solo performances, Mangalam has also been lending vocal support to many successful dance programs in and around Mumbai, in the last 15 years, including senior artistes like Sri Raja and Smt Radha Reddy (Chembur Fine Arts – 2010), Smt. Meenakshi Seshadri, Smt. Indu Raman, students of Smt. Nalini Raghu, Sri Pavitra Bhat,  etc.

Mridungam: Satish Krishnamurthy

Shri Satish Krishnamurthy is proficient in playing Mridangam, Ghatam, Kanjira, Thavil and Moorsing along with the unique talent of mouth percussion namely Konnakkol . He learned the art of playing Mridangam, Ghatam, Thavil, Moorsing, Kanjira from renowned guru Shri T. S. Nandakumar. He has gained advanced knowledge in the art form from renowned Guru and Sangeet Natak Academi Awardee Shri K. V. Prasad. 
He is a graded artiste for Mridangam, Ghatam and Kanjira by one of the strongest upholder’s of Indian Classical Music, the All India Radio. He has been conferred the “Tala Mani" title by Sursingar Samsad, Mumbai, the  “Mridangam Kala Nipuna” title by the Salem Music College and the “Mridanga Vidwan“ title by the press and media “Aap ki Awaaz” channel amongs many others . He is also the recipient of the Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar for the year 2012. He is currently pursuing a B. A. in Music (Mridangam) from Annamalai University.
Shri Satish Krishnamurthly has accompanied highly acclaimed artistes as a part of Carnatic Ensembles and has lead a team of percussion ensemble(Tala Vadya Kutcheris) besides being a part of Bharatanatyam Recitals for many leading dancers including Shri C.V.Chandrashekhar. 
 

Violin: Satish Seshadri

A seasoned violinist whose passion for violin started at the age of 6. He was trained under the tutelage of Smt. Seetha Ramakrishnan since October 1987. He has the credit of accompanying programs during some big festivals like the Elephanta festival by Mumbai tourism board and Bandra festival. Satish is one of the core members of a very interesting Carnatic music band which specialises on Music Ensemble performances. Satish started performing at Tala Vadya kutcheris , accompanying dance and vocal recitals by the time he was in his teens . He was the faculty for teaching violin at the prestigious Shanmukhananda Sabha of Mumbai. He further went on to be favourite teacher amongst his students. He now conducts private classes at his residence at Andheri. In his academic pursuits Satish Seshadri has been an outstanding student throughout his school and college. He went on to graduate as a Civil Engineer from the prestigious VJTI college in Mumbai. He is also pursuing his management course in Construction from NICMAR. He won prizes at various competions like the India Culture league at junior level. Was awarded first prize at Shanmukhananda Fine Arts junior level competition and has performed at the 60 violinists ensemble coreographed by Kalaimamani Kanyakumari for Shanmukhananda Sabha's illustrous 60 years.

Flute: Bhaskar Nagarajan

Bhaskaran has taken tutelage under Guru Mrs. Sathva Srinath, a senior disciple of Dr.N.Ramani, a veteran Flute Maestro. He is a faculty member of Fine Arts Society; Mumbai & Ramani’s Academy of Flute and teaches Flute.   He gives support to Dance programs across Mumbai & Pune region.  He is Carnatic Flute professional & a performing artist and has many solo concerts to his credit.
